Classes Or Treatments
Tai Chi and Kung Fu
I am only interested in teaching those types of people that can handle hard work and extreme weather. If you cannot take hot or cold weather, then you should probably find another instructor because you will only last a short time. You must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and be able to balance on one leg for several seconds. If you cannot do a Horse stance or a squat, then you should not take classes with me. We seek to develop Gong Fu (Kung Fu) through hard work and the only way to get it is to work hard for periods of time. Currently I am teaching at Woodward Park and privately there or at my home.
Qigong
Right now during the hot weather I offer private Qigong classes early mornings, at Woodward Park. 8am-9am. $10 per class/person. We will be going over the little 18 Lohans and some 5 Elements Qigong. Contact me for details and exact location.
Taijiquan (Tai Chi)
Right now I teach Sun Lutang Taiji as taught by my Teacher Grand Master Wang Shi-Qing
I also offer private lessons in the Wu style Small-Frame but it is recommended that you have some prior martial arts experience before studying this style. Sun style would be a perfect perquisite since Wu is the ancestor to Sun.
Bagua / Xing Yi
If you want some internal kung fu that moves a little faster than Tai Chi, then Bagua and or Xing Yi are the answer. Though these arts mix perfectly with Taiji, they are just as elusive and internally powerful as Taiji on their own. Learning the dynamic footwork and sudden changes of these arts will enhance your vigor and give you the longevity you seek along with the ability to muster up powerful bursts of power if needed.
A tiny bit about my Kung Fu experience
in 1985, I began training in the Choy Lee Fut Kung Fu system. I learned various versions of the Small Plum Blossom Fist, and several other hand sets and weapons of the style(s). I started with the Jew Leong/Lau Bun lineage, and later transitioned to the Family style under a Great, great, grandson of the founder. in 1986 I dabbled in Long Fist, and other styles not worth mentioning here because I am not a legend in my own mind. Over the years, I have extracted the true meaning of that style, and transitioned to internal Kung Fu training in 1998. I learned Sun, Wu Yuxiang, and Yang Small frame Tai Chi Chuan. I also learned Jiang style Baguazhang, and Xing Yi Chuan over a period of 3 years under Master Wang Shi-Qing (including some internal weapons). I also learned Iron Palm, body conditioning, and several styles of Qigong. Half of my life has passed, and I plan to practice and develop these styles within and without for the remainder of my life here on Earth.
