6 Healing Sounds Qigong – Liu Zi Jue – Taoist Meditation in Motion for Inflammation Stress & Illness

This practice is for deep healing and recalibrating of the mind and body. It is considered a “purging” practice in Qigong, meaning it mainly eliminates impure or imbalanced energy rather than building healthy energy. It is often used in China for cancer therapy, and any chronic illnesses involving inflammation or serious mental/emotional imbalance. It would also be a wise practice for people with “Qi deviations” (qigong psychosis from over-ambitious practices leading the qi to the head), known in yoga as “kundalini syndrome”, as it helps to clear excess heat and energy and rebalance the flow of energy through the meridians.

For those who haven’t drank the energy medicine Kool Aid, this practice is known to lower inflammatory markers in the blood stream of cancer patients, likely by stimulating the vagus nerve and activating the parasympathetic nervous system through prolonged exhales combined with slow mindful movements. The Six Healing Sound practice uses the same basic principle as sighing – our body’s natural mechanism to release stress – but takes it to another level with a variety of forms and combining it with movement and some visualization.
