Daoyin – Qigong

dao yin

This video we bring you about dao yin to you so you can watch and also have access to related topics and items, all in one place. You can learn and keep learning without distraction.

Daoyin, or Qigong, exercises originate from ancient China. Archeological and written records date back over 2000 years.

#Daoyin means to guide and pull. Daoyin sequences move with an elegant and balanced flow of the whole body. Rather than stretching we move within a comfortable range of movement.

With regular practise we build strength with suppleness while calming body and mind. Coordinating the #mindful movements with a natural breathing cycle creates a deep sense of relaxation and wellbeing.

You’ll find this particular exercise first extends the back while encouraging us to open and gently lift the chest. Then, as our weight draws backward we hinge at our hips with a neutral spine. This move brings eccentric extension to our back, glutes, hamstrings and calves.
