Classes

Thank you for visiting my classes page. I offer classes in Tai Chi Chuan, Internal Kung Fu, Some External Kung Fu, Qigong, and Reiki practitioner training. (More in depth information below, or see ‘Our System’ page.)

Here are our classes and events. Our own Fresno area Qigong, Tai Chi Chuan, and other kung fu classes are mainly what you see, but you will see special events that we will share here. (Brother Schools, Seminars, etc.) Both this and the Upcoming Events Page reflect this same calendar.

I offer Weekend morning classes. If you are looking to setup a private lesson ($50), I can do that before or after, or any other open time. ***No Watchers. (Come alone unless you are bringing a guest to practice with us. I do not ‘audition’ for ANYONE)

  • Drop-ins to any of my group classes – $15
  • Monthly for Saturdays OR Sundays class (save $10 if you plan to come 4 times a month) – $50
  • Monthly for Saturday AND Sunday classes (16 hours of class per month, huge savings) – $80
  • Private Lesson – $50 (two people allowed)

What We Practice During Class

Subjects we cover stay primarily within the traditional principals of ‘internal’ kung fu or cultivation. Each class is never the same as the before or after it. The style is covered, but from a different aspect, which allows for a more deeper understanding of it. Right now, these arts are being practiced during the Weekends:

The internal kung fu above is what I teach and practice on a daily basis, but I keep up my Shaolin based martial arts foundation of Choy Lee Fut and other schools (From my earlier years 1985-1998) for my personal training, but if you want to do some privates, I can show you some instead of the Taiji Arts. Up to you. Read about my system here.

***Please consult your licensed medical doctor to see if these exercises are alright for you to do before coming.

I used to teach many classes at yoga studios, retirement homes, PT offices, gyms, HMOs, etc.; I have pretty much stopped all of that. Been there, done that. I’m teaching those who like training in martial arts. (And martial arts are an outdoor activity.) I learned that only in a martial arts hall or studio or outdoors can you have true kung fu training. These classes are not recommended for those who are recovering from any surgery or have restrictions of movement or who need a PT or spa-like environment.

Though Tai Chi Chuan is now recognized as good for it’s health benefits, we do not teach the simplified ‘Tai Chi’ during class. What e do is outdoor, and may be difficult for anyone who can’t take heat, cold, or who doesn’t have simple coordination. They are welcome to try, though.

These are traditional systems, and do not need any certification from so called tai chi authorities soon to be in existence in the medical and wellness industries.
