Both are present in the original Yang Family curriculum and are today practised not by many. NeiGong is all that is breathing techniques, developing of martial Qi and how to drive it into usable Jin. Waigong is all that is the training of bones, flesh and tendons. Working with both trainings at the same time, following certain principles, is fundamental in order to create the Taijiquan-Body. Without the Taijiquan-Body and his qualities, Taijiquan will never manifest as a real practice that boosts health, and longevity (therefore also as a possible martial art).
