Chen Tai Chi Pao Chui, Cannon Fist (炮捶), is the second form (二路, Er Lu) in Chen Taijiquan from Grandmaster Chen Quanzhong line.

The form is demonstrated by Chen Bin 陈斌, 21st Generation son of Chen Xili and grandson of Grandmaster Chen Quanzhong. Chen Bin shows a mixture of New Frame (Xin Jia, 新架) and Old Frame (Lao Jia, 老架) in his presentation of the form.

Master Chen Xili (陈西立) the son of Grandmaster Chen Quanzhong (陈全忠). Master Chen Xili is 20th generation Chen Tai Chi inheritor. He is known for his personal blend of New Frame (Xin Jia, 新架) and Old Frame (Lao Jia, 老架) The 4 Direction energies are the Jiben Gong 基本功 (Basic training) for the two main forms: first routine (一路) and second routine (二路, 炮捶 Cannon Fist) of Chen Style Taijiquan (陈氏太极拳).

Grandmaster Chen Quanzhong teachers the old, original form of Tai Chi – Chen Tai Chi Chuan. Other forms of Tai Chi such and Yang Tai Chi, Wu Tai Chi, Hao Tai Chi, Sun Tai Chi derive from Chen Tai Chi Chuan. Tai Chi is a martial art which is based on Qigong principles so it is often used for health well-being. Chen Tai Chi Chuan still retains it martial applications and movements as well as powerful internal cultivation methods.

The complete Chen Taijiquan system includes two empty hand forms (Yi Lu and Pao Chui or Cannon Fist) push hands (Tui Shou) , weapons forms – Sword (Jian), Saber (Dao), Spear/Staff (Qiang), longpole (Da Qiang), Halberd (Guan Dao), Nei Gong (Internal Work), techniques applications, Fa Jin methods (Explosive Power), drills, and sparring or Kung Fu fighting. Today, many people practice Tai Chi for relaxation, stress relief, and health benefits. Often compared to Yoga, Tai Chi training includes meditation, breathing, visualization, postures, and forms.
