A superb performance of Chen style Tai Chi from family member, Chen Bing. This demonstration took place in Chen Bing’s own Tai Chi school in Chen Village, located in the remote central China countryside. Chen Village is said to be the birthplace of Tai Chi Chuan with almost all the local residents practicing Chen Tai Chi. Chen Bing was taught by the patriarchs of the Chen family, being the son of the eldest brother of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang and and Grandmaster Chen Xiaoxing. In our video you can see how Chen style Tai Chi uses slow movements combined with fast, explosive techniques called Fa-Jin, and literally translated as “power issuing.”
