This video we bring you about tai chi sword to you so you can watch and also have access to related topics and items, all in one place. You can learn and keep learning without distraction.
Wudang Tai Chi Sword was created by the renowned Chinese martial artist Li Tianji 李天骥, who is the uncle of Professor Li Deyin 李德印. I had the privilege of hosting and assisting my teacher, Professor Li Deyin, when he taught this form to America in Phoenix in 1999. This sword form not only showcases the lightness, composure, and continuous flow of Tai Chi Sword, but also encompasses the agility, adaptability, elegance, and fluidity of Wudang sword. It can be described as a harmonious blend of swiftness and slowness, strength and gentleness.
Li Tianji’s sword skills were inherited from Li Jinglin 李景林, a swordsman known as “China’s First Sword.” Li Jinglin served as the vice-president of the National Martial Arts Academy in the later 1920s and was an expert in various sword techniques, particularly the Wudang sword which he learned from Song Weiyi 宋唯一. It is a great honor for me to carry forward this sword form from these esteemed masters.
