In this short video, Master Wong Wai Yi (Tony) illustrates Xingyi Five Elements Linking Quan (形意五行連環拳).
Wuxing (Five Elements) Quan (五行拳) is the origin (母拳) of the Xingyi Quan (形意拳). Xingyi Five Elements Linking Quan (形意五行連環拳) consists of the Five Elements (五行- 金木水火土) represented by metal, wood, water, fire and earth. The five strikes in Xingyi Quan are
– Pi Quan (劈拳, Hacking Fist – Metal)
– Beng Quan (崩拳, Crushing Fist – Wood)
– Zuan Quan (鑽拳, Drilling Fist – Water)
– Pao Quan (炮拳, Exploding Fist – Fire)
– Heng Quan (横拳, Crossing Fist – Earth).
Master Tony learned the Xingyi Five Elements and Yiquan system from Grandmaster Chan Ching Chung (陳正中大師) in Hong Kong.
