Paul experimenting with some Ma (Horse) Xing striking methods on the bag at the gym. This is part of a longer sequence where Paul also plays around with a few other animals striking methods, the longer video will be posted to our Patreon supporters for their continued contribution – Thanks guys.
The bag is moderately heavy. Some of the strikes appear to be very light but the intention is to leave the energy in the bag creating an implosive strike, the bag shakes fairly considerably after these strikes. The deeper strikes look to combine the implosive energy with a driving/penetrating strike. Horse specialises in focused targeting of energy looking to burst through or break the target. The downward knuckle rapping Pi Jin strikes are often used to target the nose, the point between the nose and mouth, eye sockets, cheek bones, jaw and temple areas looking to break bones and cause surface damage and pain. These strikes are also effective against the hands and arms of an opponent that throws long strikes/jabs.
