This is the talou (forms) division of the 15th WWC. Like most taolu, the focus here is on performance and martial expression, rather than combat. However, in application many bagua moves are actually throws/takedowns based on leverage and balance, so fluidity and rooting, which are on-display here are actually quite important.
If you’re interested in pure fighting, checkout the Sanda division of the 15th WWC, where many of grappling and throwing movements of traditional Chinese Martial arts are used.
