Paul takes a look at some movements from the Xing Yi Academy Tiger linking sequence (Hu Xing Lian Huan), and how they are ‘classically’ applied.

Every animal has some kind of a “triple palm” or a short combination/sequence meant to work it’s way in to attack the opponent and in this episode we look at the Tiger triple palm. It makes good use of crossing your opponent. These ‘classical’ applications are demonstrated in a training environment not non-cooperative sparring/fighting.

There are an infinite number of ways these movements can be adapted and used in free application. Xing Yi Academy expresses that these applications are a framework in which to embody the principles, and what is shown is not the only way that these movements can be applied.
